Day one filming.

Today I began filming, using one of four settings I have chosen; my bedroom. Although this isn't the first shot that will be shown in my movie opening; I began with filming the notice board I had created as Arabella's - consisting of notes, drawings and a porcelain doll she kept. I also filmed the photograph's Arabella kept of herself and Cynthia. Both shot's featured a very similar camera composition; panning from left to right - at a reasonably medium close up shot - in order to specifically show certain items. When panning across the notice board with the camera, I struggled to show the whole scene and the props included in that scene; meaning I had to pan backwards and forwards which unfortunately looked quite untidy and caused the camera to shake slightly, therefore it took several times to get it exactly how I wanted it. When filming the photo's, I didn't want to include the background therefore I made my bedroom pitch black and used the small light on the camera, meaning the photo's only appeared when the camera got closer to them and the light shone on them, which I think has created a really good effect. I am happy with my filming today, and tomorrow I will continue to film a few more shots to put together with what I have filmed today.
